Early Career
She won the 2015 Harter Hall Invitational, the 2015 PING Invitational, 2015 AJGA Rolex Junior All-American as an amateur, Apart from this she also cut at the 2013 U.S. Women’s Open.
Professional Career
Korda started her professional career in 2016 on the Symetra Tour & won her first professional event at the Sioux Falls GreatLIFE Challenge. She ended the season 9th on the money list, & earned her LPGA Tour card for 2017.
Career Turning Point
On 28th October 2018, she won the Swinging Skirts LPGA Taiwan Championship in Taoyuan. This win made the Korda Sisters the third pair of sisters to win in LPGA history. Before them, this was only achieved by the Jutanugarn sisters, Moriya Jutanugarn and Ariya Jutanugarn, Charlotta and Annika Sörenstam.
Achievement
After being runner-up at the CME Group Tour Championship and 3rd at the Diamond Resorts Tournament of Champions she won the ISPS Handa Women’s Australian Open on 17th February 2019. After adding this feather to her resume she also completed the Family Slam in Australia.
Her older sister, Jessica won the Women’s Australian Open in 2012 and her younger brother, Sebastian, won the 2018 Australian Open junior boys in tennis. The Australian Open win represented their 4th top-5 finish in her most recent 5 LPGA starts. She then broke into the top 10 for the first time on the 18th of February, 2019 on the Women’s World Golf Rankings. She also became the second-highest-ranked American in the Globe. Korda started her 2021 season with the Gainbridge LPGA at Boca Rio in Orlando.
Later on, in the same year On 20th June 2021, she won the Meijer LPGA Classic in Grand Rapids, Michigan. After achievement, she became the first two-time winner of the LPGA during the same season.
She won her first major at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship in Atlanta On 27th June 2021. In the final round, Korda shot a 4-under 68 and won by three strokes & became the number one player in the world.
Injury
On 3rd January 2022, she crossed Stacy Lewis as the longest American women’s golfer as world number one. Next month at the Gainbridge LPGA at Boca Rio tournament she ranked 20th place at 286 (−2). The low placement lost her the Women’s World Golf Rankings number 1 position she occupied for 29 weeks. She then finished T-15, T-20, and T-4 in her first three starts for 2022.
Through her Instagram account on March 13th of the same year, Korda announced that she had a blood clot in her arm & hence she would not compete in the Chevron Championship. While off the field at home getting the treatment she returned to play in the U.S. Women’s Open, finishing in the top ten.
Personal Life
Korda was born to Czech professional tennis players Petr Korda and Regina Rajchrtová. Her father is a tennis grand slam champion and won the 1998 Australian Open crown. Her younger brother, Sebastian, won the 2018 Australian Open tennis title in the boys’ division & her older sister Jessica plays on the LPGA Tour.
In 2021, she made the Forbes 30 under 30 lists under the age of 30, with 23.
