Paige Buecker was out for the 2022-23 NCAA season after getting injured at the ACL in her left knee in a pickup game. She led Hopkins to the Class 4A state title as a senior, but the championship game was cancelled on 13th March because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
She had surgery on her right ankle on 30th April 2021, to correct an osteochondral defect. On 14th November that same year, she made her sophomore season debut where she scored 34 points, six rebounds, and four assists in a 95–80 win over Arkansas.

Her parents separated when she was three years old. Her mother remarried and relocated to Billings, Montana, and she stayed with her father. She was a member of Hopkins High School’s tenth-grade and junior varsity basketball teams in Minnetonka, Minnesota. When she was in the seventh grade. Next year she joined Hopkins’ varsity team and started six games.
