During her college life in Boston, she had a wonderful career as a soccer player. In 2011, she directed the team in scoring with 8 goals and 6 assists and also obtained various awards, which also include a third-team NSCAA Division 1 All-America player and 1st-team NSCAA Southeast Regional awards. Apart from this she also held the Preseason Hermann Trophy Watch List and reached the semifinals for this award.
There in college, Mewis had a memorable senior year with 16 goals and 12 assists, which also makes her the top scorer in Boston College history.
