Early Life
Keylor Antonio Navas was born on December 15, 1986, in a town in Costa Rica. He lived his childhood in poverty. His parents, Freddy and Sandra Navas entrusted him and his sister to their grandfathers when they migrated to the US a few years after his birth. He struggled hard and accepted everything as it came to him.
He never lost his faith in God. Keylor joined the local football club at age eight, where the owner saw his dedication, and then he began climbing the success ladders. He represented the Escuela de FutbolPedregoso until he was 14. He qualified for the local football team club his father once represented several years ago. The call from destiny and his firm belief in God led him to Deportivo Saprissa.
Professional Career
Saprissa
Navas started his club career with Deportivo Saprissa in the year 2005 in a Primera league. He won six national championships and the 2005 CONCACAF Championship Cub playing as a goalkeeper. In 2005 Saprissa got 3rd place at the 2005 FIFA World Championship.
Albacete
In 2010, Navas signed with Albacete Balompié in Spain. Out of 42 games, he only performed in 36 games in his first season. This season, Albacete Balompié placed last.
Levante
From 2011–2012, Navas was playing in La Liga for Levante UD. He played his first match in the last round against Athletic Bilbao, which led to the club’s qualification for the UEFA Europa League. He was the first-choice goalkeeper in the 2013-2014 season and was named the league’s best goalkeeper. Finishing the season with 267 saves and becoming the goalkeeper with the most saves in La Liga.
Real Madrid
In 2014, Navas signed with Real Madrid for €10 million a six-year contract with the club. He made his debut for the club in September, playing against Elche, and was on the bench as they won the Club World Cup in December. He made his debut in the Championship League in November, playing against Swiss side FC Basel. In December, his team won the Club World Cup in Morocco. He was named Player of the Year at the 2014 CONCACAF Awards.

Madrid made Navas the starting goalkeeper after winning the 2016–2017 La Liga. In 2017, Navas became the first Costa Rican to reach 100 La Liga appearances. He was also named Player of the Year at the 2017 CONCACAF Awards.
He made his 100th appearance for Real Madrid playing against Barcelona during the 2017–2018 UEFA Champions League. Navas won his 100th match while playing for Real Madrid against Liverpool.
