She was born in South Lake Tahoe, California, and has started snowboarding since her school days. She was homeschooled, so got the opportunity to focus on her training. Jamie was born in South Lake Tahoe, California. She snowboarded for the first time at age nine years old and soon after that, she fell in love with this. Her childhood was spent as a homeschooled at Visions in Education, which also gave her the opportunity to spend her time almost every day in the mountains.

She now resides in Whistler, British Columbia, Canada with her fiance, Tyler Nicholson. He is also a Canadian snowboarder. She met with him for the first time at a bar at Whistler. After that, they’ve been together since 2015. She also owns The Dream Inn, a private residence suite that overlooks Ski Resort and other private places in Colorado.

Apart from snowboarding, she also practices yoga and meditation to keep her healthy for her upcoming competitions. She is also a member of the POW’s Athlete Alliance & an ambassador for Protect Our Winters.
Career.

She has made an identity as one of the top slopestyle riders in this sport & has been one of the most successful female snowboarders on the Swatch TTR World Snowboard Tour. She took home the gold medal in the Olympic debut of women’s snowboard slopestyle at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympic Games.

Not only the career wins, Jamie has also been giving back to the snowboarding community through participation in the High Cascade Snowboard Camp. Soon after that she organised a Signature Session at High Cascade in 2009–2012 and was also scheduled to host another Signature Sessions camp in 2014.

She started snowboarding in 2000 after she received a hand-me-down snowboard at the age of only nine. After that, she qualified for the 2004 Winter X Games just four years later. In 2005. She took home a bronze, and by doing so she became the youngest female medalist in the competition at the age of only fifteen years old.

Jamie then established the Jamie Anderson Foundation in 2013 & has provided more than 30 young winter sports athletes with equipment, clothing, season passes and financial backing for travel to the USA national competitions.

In 2015, she competed on the seventh season of The Celebrity Apprentice for her charity, Protect Our Winters but was fired in the fourth episode.

In April 2018, Jamie was announced as one of the celebrities who will compete on season 26 of Dancing with the Stars. She was also signed with professional dancer Artem Chigvintsev but was eliminated on the first episode, and finished in 9th place.
