Early Life
Bianca was born in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, to her parents Nicu Andreescu and Maria Andreescu. Her father migrated to Canada with his wife Maria, after he got a job offer to serve as a mechanical engineer. When Bianca was seven, her family moved back to their country for her mother to start her business.
After two years, her family packed up the business and moved back to Canada. In Romania, Bianca started to love tennis and a family friend, named Gabriel Hristache, coached her. After returning to Canada, she joined the Ontario Racquet Club & Later on, started sharpening her skills at the U14 National Training Centre. Along with tennis she also attended Bill Crothers Secondary School but did not continue her college education. In 2019 she wanted to focus on tennis and her lifelong dream of winning a Grand Slam.

Career
In 2014, she won Grade 4 and Grade 5 titles & also won a premier junior tennis tournament known as Les Petit As. After winning the Under-16 Orange Bowl, she became the fourth consecutive Canadian to win. Later on, she upgraded to a Grade 2 tournament when at the age of only fifteen years old. When she played in her first Grade 1 tournament, Open International Junior de Beaulieu-sur-Mer, she lost but after facing a few losses, she was back on the tennis court again.
The Canadian won her first Grade A tournament, Canadian Open Junior Championships, against Robillard-Millette in a home game. She then lost to Kayla Day at the Yucatán Cup finals, & defeated Day to win the Orange Bowl. She also played for her country in the Junior Federation Cup. After that Tennis Canada named her the young athlete Outstanding Junior Female.
Bianca also dropped out of the Australian Open after injuries to her left adductor and right ankle and a fracture in her foot. After a few losses, she won the Australian and French doubles with the Canadian player Carson Branstine. With their French Open win, the pair was the first Canadian team to win the doubles title in the girls’ Grand Slam.
International Career
She started playing in the International Tennis Federation Women’s Circuit in 2015 which was a little rough, and she lost a few matches at first. In 2016 her injuries caused her back, and she dropped out for most of the tournament but gave some amazing performances after her arrival. She won her first ITF title in both singles and doubles matches & in 2017, she won another two ITF titles and entered the Top 200 ranking in the WTA.
She won against Italian tennis player Camila Giorgi in her debut game on the WTA tour but did not qualify for the US Open. She then reached the WTA finals with Canadian-American player Carson Branstine. She was close to making it to the French Open and Wimbledon but fell short. She then reached finals at $25k (INR 20.65 Lacs), quarterfinals at $100k (INR 82.63 Lacs) and semifinals at $60k (INR 49.58 Lacs) tournaments. But the injury again held her from qualifying for the major tournaments, and she ended up at No. 152 worldwide.
Winning Championships
After not playing any WTA match in 14 months, the 2019 season became her best one yet. Bianca then defeated the three top 40 players, before losing to the second & she was the winner of a 125K (INR 1.03 Cr) title in the Oracle Challenger Series. She then qualified for the Australian Open after defeating former world No.1 American junior player Whitney Osuigwe.She then upgraded her rank to 68. The 22-year-old reached the semifinals in the Mexico Open and won her first WTA title in the Indian Wells Open.
When she made her Canadian Open debut, she won the tournament and became the first Canadian to do so since 1969. She won against former No. 1 Serena Williams in the finals. Her rank again changed to 14. Bianca was on a 16-match win streak when Naomi Osaka defeated her. She was the first tennis player to receive Canada’s top athlete award Lou Mash Trophy.
